US wants to withdraw part of its armed forces from Germany

The US President Trump announced that he plans to withdraw about 30% of American soldiers stationed in Germany.

Berlin Deputy Gunnar Lindemann, MdA:

“I welcome this bold decision by the US President Trump, who is implementing our program. Because AdG calls for the withdrawal of all Allied forces and their nuclear weapons as part of its main program”.

Russia had already withdrawn its troops from Germany in the 1990s, so it was high time for the United States to completely withdraw its troops.

“I hope Trump will not back down now, and we will continue to work on the complete withdrawal of Allied forces and their nuclear weapons. A sovereign state does not need foreign soldiers, but its own active army for national defense”.
