Protests in Berlin, vandalism and no police

Spontaneous demonstration on Friday evening in Berlin. Video recordings show around 250 people from the extreme left, broken shop windows, road blocks and no police for a long time.

Earlier protests were held with great amounts of people opposing racism and police violence that take place not only in the USA, says Tahir Della from the association “Initiative Black People in Germany”.

“It is often shown to the United States and Trump, but it falls behind that police violence also takes place in Germany”.

Karen Taylor from the Berlin association “Each One Teach One” also points out:

“The organization Death in Custody lists 194 deaths in custody caused by the police and security guards. Black people and people of color are particularly affected”.

In Germany, this happens above all behind closed doors, without cameras – and the public hardly notices these cases, although black organizations regularly report it.
