Minnesota Governor Tim Walz apologized to reporters who were detained or attacked by police on the night of May 31.

Recall that a number of journalists reported police attacks in Minneapolis on Sunday night. Several journalists were hit by rubber bullets, others by tear gas. At a press conference on local television, Waltz said he deeply apologizes to reporters.

“This is unacceptable … I bear full responsibility for this,” said Walz.
