China puts forward national security law to curb Hong Kong protests

The most important event in the Chinese political calendar this year is of particular importance: its postponement for two months due to the covid-19 pandemic, its celebration marks a return to normalcy in China.

While Xi is trying to pass a new law, the West hesitates, trying to simulate China’s reaction to the future, marked by the coronavirus and the crisis that escalates between China and the United States.

The very first meeting after a long break due to the pandemic will be devoted to a discussion of Hong Kong’s national security law in response to last year’s protests.
