In Poland, it was reported that the presidential elections on May 10 would not be held

The presidential election in Poland on May 10 will not take place. This decision was reported on Wednesday by the leader of the ruling party “Law and Justice” in Poland, Jaroslav Kaczynski, as well as his coalition partner, leader of the political association “Agreement,” Jaroslav Govin.

“The speaker of the Sejm will announce new presidential elections in the first possible term”, –  reads the statement, distributed by the Polish Press Agency.

According to its authors, this decision was taken “in connection with the opposition’s refusal to accept all constructive proposals, allowing this year’s presidential elections to be held within the time frame specified in the Constitution.

“The elections, organized by the State Election Commission, taking care of the safety of Poles, given the epidemic situation, will be held by mail,” they said, stressing that the relevant law will be supported by all coalition representatives.
