The U.S. administration is developing measures against China due to the concealment of information about the new coronavirus attributed to the authorities of that country, among the options under consideration are the imposition of sanctions and cancellation of American debt obligations. This was reported by CNN on Thursday.

According to his sources, employees of various U.S. agencies are developing appropriate plans for the long term.

“They include the possibility of imposing sanctions, cancellation of U.S. debt obligations or the introduction of new rules in the field of trade”, –  said the journalist on the channel.

As noted in the CNN publication, some U.S. administration officials warn against acting too hastily. They emphasize that the U.S. is now heavily dependent on Chinese supplies of medical supplies needed in the light of the pandemic.

“We need to get the economy back on track, so we need to be careful”, –  the administration says. – “But we will find a way to show the Chinese that their actions are fully reprehensible.”

CNN notes that U.S. intelligence agencies are now actively testing the version in the U.S. media that the coronavirus may have started to spread from a laboratory in Wuhan.
