Since September last year, Russia and the United States have reduced the number of nuclear warheads  data from the US State Department says.

So, as of March 1, Russia had deployed 485 intercontinental ballistic missiles, ballistic missiles in submarines and heavy bombers (in September – 513), in the United States – 655 (668). Russia on these carriers had 1326 warheads (1426 in September), the United States – 1373 (1376).

Also, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had 754 deployed and non-deployed launchers (757), the United States – 800 (this figure has not changed since September).

START-3, signed in 2010, remains the only current arms limitation treaty between Russia and the United States. The agreement expires in February 2021, and until the US administration has announced whether Washington intends to extend it.
