Some Chinese provinces and businesses have already provided or are currently providing U.S. humanitarian assistance to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunyin said.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Russia had sent “a large plane with medical supplies” to the U.S., while China also sent aid.

“As I said earlier, some Chinese provinces and businesses have already provided or are currently providing humanitarian assistance to the American side with medical supplies. We are very concerned about the epidemiological situation in the U.S., and we hope that the American people will survive this difficult period as soon as possible”, –  Hua Chunyin said at the briefing, commenting on Trump’s words.

She stressed that China is ready to provide the U.S. with all possible assistance and support.
Hua Chunming recalled that during a telephone conversation with Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed hope that the United States would be able to control the spread of the epidemic as soon as possible and join efforts with China to combat the epidemic.

The Chinese leader also stressed that the Chinese side understands the current difficulties faced by the American side and is ready to provide all possible assistance and support.

The number of confirmed cases of infection in the United States amounted to 163.5 thousand people, more than three thousand died from the virus. The USA is the first in the world by this indicator, while Italy, Spain and China are ahead of it by the number of deaths.
