On Saturday, President Nicolas Maduro said that in the coming days a second side would arrive from Russia to Venezuela with medical equipment to combat COVID-19.
On Friday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing that Russia will continue to provide assistance to Venezuela, including in the fight against coronavirus, the first batch of test systems for diagnosing a new disease has already been delivered.
“Three sides have arrived this week, the one from Russia. In addition, in the coming days, a military aircraft with equipment will arrive from Russia at the direction of Vladimir Putin”, – the Venezuelan President said during a telephone statement broadcast on VTV.
According to Maduro, in the coming hours another million coronavirus tests will arrive in Venezuela, and the supply of medical equipment will continue throughout the week.
