So far, 16 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Poland.

“Today we are making another decision, we are one of the first in Europe to make that decision. Namely, we introduce sanitary inspections at the border with Germany and the Czech Republic, at the main crossings,” Moravetsky said.

He added that the control will be conducted at four border crossings on the border with Germany and one on the border with the Czech Republic.

“I would like to emphasize that in the next few tens of hours we will expand the scope of these controls to other border crossings”, –  he added.

At the same time, the prime minister added that, at first, the checks will primarily concern bus traffic.
