Shooting in Germany: the alleged shooter was found dead

The total number of victims of shooting increased to 11 people. Four more were seriously injured.


The alleged shooter in the German city of Hanau was found dead in his home. This was reported by the police of the state of Hesse on Thursday morning, February 20.

“The alleged offender was found without signs of life at his residence in Hanau. In addition, the police special forces found another body there”, – the report said.

The police emphasized that they have no data on the presence of other attackers. It is also noted that the number of victims of shooting in two hookah bars increased to nine – one of the wounded died. Given the two bodies found dead in the house, the total number of victims of the shooting increased to 11 people.

Earlier it was reported that in the German city of Hanau, an unknown opened fire in two hookah bars. As a result of the accident, eight people died on the spot, five were seriously injured. It was noted that ethnic Kurds may be dead.

Police later detained one person. However, law enforcement officials said that he was not involved in the shooting.
