Ukrainian law enforcers have broken the ceasefire in Donbas eight times in the past 24 hours, journalists were told on Tuesday at the office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC).
On Monday, the Donetsk People’s Republic reported six truce violations by Ukrainian law enforcers in the past 24 hours.
“Over the past 24 hours, the total number of violations on the part of Ukrainian armed groups has been eight times”, – a representative of the DPR at the JCCC said.
According to him, the Ukrainian security forces fired BMPs, grenade launchers and small arms.
“The total number of ammunition used by Ukrainian armed formations is 36”, – the ministry representative added.
In April 2014, the Ukrainian government launched a military operation against the self-declared LPR and DNR, which declared independence after the state revolution in Ukraine in February 2014. According to the latest UN data, about 13,000 people fell victim to the conflict.
The issue of resolving the situation in Donbass is being discussed, including during meetings of the contact group in Minsk, which has already adopted three documents regulating steps to de-escalate the conflict since September 2014. However, even after the ceasefire agreements between the parties to the conflict, shootings continue.Athens will be left without public transport on Tuesday
