The visit of Chairman of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Muhammad Halbusi and heads of several parliamentary committees to Russia is expected this year, Russian Ambassador to Iraq Maxim Maksimov said.
According to him, due to the difficult domestic political situation in Iraq, “last year a number of important visits of departmental delegations to Moscow and Baghdad, as well as representatives of business circles were postponed.
“Visits to Russia by Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammad Halbushi and heads of some parliamentary committees have been rescheduled for this year”, – the ambassador said.
