Merkel discussed with Zelensky the implementation of the “Norman Summit” decision

The parties have agreed to keep in touch.

On Tuesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, during which the security situation in Donbass was discussed first of all. An official representative of the German government, Steffen Seibert, told journalists about this.

“Chancellor and President Zelensky discussed, first of all, the security situation in eastern Ukraine and stressed the need to fully implement the Minsk agreements and decisions of the “Norman Summit” of December 9″, –  Seibert said.

“They have agreed to maintain contact”, – added a representative of the German Cabinet of Ministers.
