Coronavirus and the frenzy of “open border politicy”

Austrian strategic analyst Patrick Poppel hopes that at least a large-scale epidemic will make European governments realize the depth of the damage caused by open border policies.

Especially during the spread of dangerous pathogens, the European “open border policy” should be called into question. Austrian expert Patrick Poppel has for many years criticized European Union policies regarding the free movement of people and the excessive influx of “refugees”.

“Coronavirus is now showing us how important the boundaries are”, – says Poppel.

Now rethinking is bound to happen in European countries.

“People in Europe must again realize that borders are not an uncomfortable corset, but necessary protection”, – Poppel was indignant.
