One of the main attractions of Paris will be closed to visitors on Friday because of the national strike against the proposed pension reform.
“Because of the national strike, I am closed today”,- according to the official Twitter account of the Eiffel Tower.
However, the area around the tower will be available to visitors for free.
On 5 December 2019, France went on a nationwide permanent strike against the government’s pension reform, which could result in the loss of a number of privileges and special retirement regimes for certain categories of French workers, including transport workers.
The strike has significantly disrupted public transport throughout the country – metro, rail and train. The draft law on pension reform will be submitted to the French Parliament in February.Iraqis use US favorite weapon against American invaders
