German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced the holding of a conference on Libya in Berlin on January 19.
The conference will be attended by the USA, Russia, Great Britain, France, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the Republic of Congo, Italy, Egypt, Algeria, as well as the United Nations, the European Union, the African Union and the League of Arab States.
Also in Berlin, the Head of the Libyan National Accord Government, Faiz Saraj, and the Libyan National Army (LNA) commander, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, have been invited, according to the Bundestag website.
Russian-Turkish talks on Libya took place in Moscow on January 13, they ended without signing an armistice agreement.
Later it became known that Haftar left Moscow without signing an agreement.
