The US House of Representatives has approved a resolution that imposes restrictions on the powers of President Donald Trump to conduct military operations against Iran. It is reported by the Associated press.

“President Donald Trump needs to get Congressional approval before starting further hostilities against Iran”, – the resolution states.

She was supported by 224 parliamentarians of the House of Representatives, 194 deputies opposed.

The document is optional and does not require the signature of the President. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi believes Trump’s military restraint “will protect American lives and values”.

The White House called the resolution “ridiculous” and “completely erroneous”.

The aggravation of the situation in the Middle East occurred after General Qasem Soleimani was killed on January 3 in Iraq, following the orders of the US President Donald Trump.
