Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi expects to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss in detail the issue of a peace treaty and cooperation in the international arena.

Nakamura, 73, died Dec. 4 from injuries sustained in an attack near the town of Jalalabad, Nangarhar province, in eastern Afghanistan. His car was ambushed by unknown assailants.
