Media: US ready to make concessions to DPRK

Washington is ready to show flexibility with respect to North Korea with a view to further advancing on the issue of denuclearization.

The United States is ready to show flexibility in negotiations on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. This was announced by the Voice of America journalist accredited in the White House, Steve Herman, citing information that he was confirmed at the US mission to the UN.

It is noted that US officials are planning to demonstrate a softer stance on North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs at a meeting of the UN Security Council, which will be dedicated to the DPRK.

Earlier, the DPA agency said that under pressure from Pyongyang, Washington blocked the UN Security Council meeting on the catastrophic human rights situation in North Korea scheduled for December 10.

Recall, DPRK leader Kim Jong-un hinted at preparations for war. During the exercises, he recalled the importance of North Korea’s readiness for hostilities.
