Riots and skirmishes continue in Greece

Greek police detained about 80 people involved in the riots. This time, the reason for the mass rallies was not at all the reform of education. The rallies that caused the riots were timed to coincide with the events of 2008, when a teenager Alexis Grigoropoulos was shot dead by the police.

Fifteen-year-old Grigoropoulos was killed on December 6, 2008 in the Exarchia region after a brawl with the police. Every year on the day of the death of a teenager, riots occur throughout the country.
