Ukraine: Heroin consignment destined for Europe detained

Today, November 30, in the Transcarpathian region, Security Service of Ukraine officers detained a smuggled shipment of heroin of 374 kg, which they tried to export to European countries.

The incident occurred at the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”.

It is reported that drugs were tried to be taken from Kiev through the customs border of Ukraine to Germany. Heroin was hidden in plywood sheets.

“According to the results of the rapid test, it was found that this substance contains a particularly dangerous drug – heroin. The total weight of the seized drug packages is 374 kg, ”reads the text of the message of the prosecutor’s office of the Transcarpathian region.

It was also noted that law enforcement authorities opened criminal proceedings under the article “The finished attempt on smuggling a particularly dangerous narcotic drug, with concealment from customs control, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons.”
