Spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is counting on the development of the situation in Bolivia in accordance with the law and without outside interference.
According to him, Russia is currently calling “everyone to calm” and hopes that “the further development of the situation in Bolivia will be within the law”.
“And, of course, we hope that the Bolivians will decide their fate themselves, without the intervention of any third countries”, – Peskov said.
Earlier, Bolivian President Evo Morales, Vice President Alvaro Garcia Linera, Senate Head Adriana Salvierrara and Senate First Vice Speaker, as well as the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Viktor Borda, resigned.
In turn, the second vice speaker of the Senate of Bolivia, Janine Agnes, said that the presidential powers are transferred to her.
