President Milos Zeman held a meeting with representatives of the World Council of Subcarpathian Ruthenians, discussing with them the issue of “great autonomy of the Transcarpathian region in Ukraine”.

The delegation is noted to consist the leaders of the organization, which allegedly oppressed the Rusyns in Ukraine. Some of them managed to be marked by active contacts with the Russian Federation.

Among other things, Zeman was told that “the Ukrainian authorities still do not recognize, do not respect our language and our culture.” The head of the Czech Republic in response to this promised that “they will talk about their problems with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.”
