Trilateral negotiations between the secretaries of the Security Councils of Russia, Israel and the United States on Syria are being worked out, clarity may appear after negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli ambassador to Moscow, Harry Koren, told reporters.

Earlier, Netanyahu said that within a week he could visit Russia and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In early September, Netanyahu also announced that attempts were being made to organize another tripartite Israel-Russia-US meeting in Jerusalem.

“Such a meeting is on the agenda, we are working on it. We hope that it will be held the sooner the better. I can only hint that it depends on the meeting of the leadership, it is assumed that they will discuss it,” – he told reporters.

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, US National Security Advisor to the United States John Bolton and Israeli National Security Council President Meir Ben-Shabbat in June for the first time discussed the situation in Syria in a trilateral format.
