Hundreds of climate activists occupied the tracks near Neurath Power Station, in North Rhine-Westphalia on Sunday, in a day of action organised by the civil disobedience protest group “Ende Gelande.”

Protesters were seen dancing and marching over the rail tracks with police officers surrounding the area. Footage also shows some of the demonstrators being detained by the security forces.

A number of people were reportedly injured, but Ende Gelande has so far not provided any figures, despite blaming police brutality. Police forces reportedly say that at least 15 officers were injured.

On Friday, 500 activists sat down on the tracks leading to the plant and cut off the supply of coal to Neurath.
