Some 70 activists were arrested at a protest outside the New York Times headquarters in New York City on Saturday, as they protested for more and better press coverage of climate change.

The protesters, affiliated with the group Extinction Rebellion, are seen climbing the New York Times headquarters and lying down in the middle of the streets in front of the building.

Founded in the UK in 2018, Extinction Rebellion protests against climate change, ecological collapse and the risk of human extinction using non-violent resistance inspired by movements such as Occupy, Martin Luther King’s civil rights movement and others.
