Ryabkov and US senator Rand Paul discussed bilateral relations and arms control issues on Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“The sides shared their positions on the current issues of bilateral relations, as well as some aspects on the agenda regarding arms control,” the ministry reported. “Special attention was given to the prospects of developing interparliamentary contacts.”
The US delegation, headed by Republican senator Rand Paul, is staying in the Russian capital. The US representatives also met with Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachyov and Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Foreign Affairs Leonid Slutsky earlier on Monday.
