Ukraine’s Turchinov claims Hungary is “sabotaging” Ukraine’s NATO accession

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said that Hungary is creating obstacles for Kiev in carrying out “Euro-Atlantic integration”.

“Unfortunately, Hungary has recently inserted, I would say, not even a stick, but a log into the wheels of our Euro-Atlantic integration. But I hope that after all the Ukraine-NATO talks at the highest level will still be held. Political games in Budapest should not harm the security of Europe, “Turchinov told Interfax-Ukraine .

According to him, at the summit, Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko intends to meet with the leadership of the alliance.

The new comes in light of recent nationwide action against ethnic Hungarian minority over Ukraine, such as yesterday’s protests in front of Hungarian embassy in Kiev, where radicals burned an effigy made to Hungarian leader Viktor Orban’s likeness
