Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that he never tried to convince France to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal, during a joint press conference with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
SOT, Emmanuel Macron, President of France (French): “I noted the statement of Iran. Iran does not want to step out of the 2015 treaty in accordance with the general plan of actions. I’m not going to interpret it broadly and say that there is a violation. I don’t think there is one. If somebody finds this rhetoric of any benefit, maybe ok, but it doesn’t make any benefit for those who don’t think so. If you say it’s not enough, I still think is a milestone worth preserving. We have a saying, better to keep small things in your hands than look for bigger ones out there. So, that’s much better than nothing.”
