Russian observers have registered three ceasefire violations in Syria over the past 24 hours, while Turkish specialists likewise recorded three breaches, the Russian Defense Ministry reported in its daily bulletin on Friday.
“The Russian part of the joint Russian-Turkish commission overseeing issues related to ceasefire violations has registered three ceasefire violations in the Aleppo and Homs provinces. The Turkish part of the commission reported three shooting incidents in the Damascus province,” the ministry said.
Most shooting incidents have been registered in the areas controlled by the Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic State terror groups (outlawed in Russia). According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the situation in the de-escalation zones is described as stable.
An agreement on joining the cessation of hostilities has been signed with an inhabited community in the Homs province over the past 24 hours. The number of settlements that have joined the reconciliation process has reached 2,291, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
