Today in Belgrade, the Week of Russian cinema “Fairy tales of childhood” started. In Serbia, this event is held for the fifth consecutive year, but for the first time – in the capital. From today until September 15 in Belgrade in 10 locations for free, all comers can watch Russian animated and feature films.
The opening ceremony was held in the Cultural Center of Belgrade, attended by the Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali, the Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin, the Minister of Education, Science and Technical Development Mladen Sharcevic, the organizers of the festival, and several dozens of children and junior schoolchildren as the main spectators.
“The city of Belgrade has organized 10 cultural points. We expect more than 30 thousand children. You have the opportunity to enjoy free demonstrations of the best Russian fairy tales,” said Sinisa Mali, Mayor of Belgrade, speaking at the opening, and he also wished the children to read more stories and believe in them, to a good end.
“The event is held for the fifth year. Our countries are going through difficult times, but the festival must continue. The main thing is regularity and tradition,” noted Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin.
The message to organizers and spectators has come even from space! In a video message with the ISS, the famous film “Time of the First” about the first spacewalk is spoken about. How to know, perhaps, it will inspire the appearance of the first Serbian cosmonaut?
