Ex-President of the Council of Ministers of Latvia, Goldmanis, and former Prime Minister of Lithuania Prunskienė were KGB agents. This is confirmed by the expert of the Governmental Commission for Scientific Research of the KGB of the Latvian SSR at the Institute of History of the University of Latvia, Linard Mucins, who worked in the archives with the materials of the KGB of the USSR.
He said that, due to circumstances, not only the legendary KGB card file were in his hands, but also the key to the ciphers of its records. Among the agents of the KGB Mucins calls Goldmanis, who then became chairman of the Council of Ministers of Latvia.
“Prime Minister of Lithuania Casimir Prunskiene was also an agent. The Gaebists brought many of their own into the game,” the expert reveals.
