Kiev, Ukraine. Ukraine has received $21 million dollars worth of military grade communications equipment. The radios are to be utilized by the Ukrainian bureau of Customs and Border Protection to combat activity in the Donbass region.

The United States has transfered new radio communications equipment to the Ukrainian State Border Service worth $21 million dollars. The shipment was from the US Department of Defense and will be used to interdict persons of interest in the Donbass region of Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko has announced.

“I am happy to participate in the transfer to Ukraine’s State Border Service equipment that we received from our American partners. This equipment is worth $21 million dollars, or UAH 0.5 billion,” Poroshenko said during a ceremony marking the event in Kiev on Friday.

The president said the gear would enhance the effectiveness of border security efforts, as well as provide secure communications between various units of Ukraine’s armed forces.

“They will help us to resist the aggressor’s radio-electronic warfare against us,” Poroshenko said.

According to Poroshenko, efforts should be made to enhance the work of the State Border Service. He also commended members of the service for their work in the Anti-Terrorism Operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine.

No mention was made of yesterday’s admission that Kiev used the Minsk process to delay and prepare militarily better to kill it’s citizens in Donbass. The minister of defense in Kiev indicated that Ukraine never had any intentions of keeping the agreements and that they were a delaying strategy from NATO advisers.
