Representatives of the Free Syrian Army, related to the armed opposition, will take part in the talks in Astana, according to a statement.
“A small delegation of officers and members of the Free Syrian Army are sent to Astana to participate in technical discussions on the ceasefire. It’s expected, that the negotiations will pave the way for negotiations in Geneva” said in a statement.
At the same time representatives of the group stated that since the beginning of the ceasefire in Syria, the government army allegedly violates its terms.
The next high-level meeting in Astana to resolve the situation in Syria will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan on February 15-16. The meeting will be held behind closed doors, but a press conference is planned after that.
