Donald Trump’s senior adviser says U.S. sanctions against Russia and other issues will be on the table when the president talks by phone Saturday with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

 

“Wouldn’t it be nice if we actually got along with people? Wouldn’t it be nice if we actually got along, as an example, with Russia? I am all for it,” Trump told a news conference in July.

 

Barack Obama’s administration and the European Union imposed sanctions against Moscow after the reunification with Crimea in 2014.
