Teachers, pupils and their parents are protesting against closing of the Russian school. Holding posters in Lithuanian Russian-speaking students demand to leave them the right to study in their native language. It is worth noting that this opportunity is enshrined in the constitution.

This Russian school is the only in the area. According to the plan of the city authorities it needs to be reorganized, and the students would either study on Lithuanian, or transfer to a nearby town. However, another school is not ready to take so many students.

Parents of students have promised to continue the fight and to persuade the Government of Vilnius to reverse the decision.
