Devolving power on Oleksandr Turchynov after the state coup in February 2014 occurred out of the constitutional field and was illegal, said former Ukrainian official Sergei Arbuzov during the court hearing in Moscow’s Dorogomilovsky court.




“I think it was a coup, as the President had been ousted from power in an unconstitutional way, and Turchynov had been appointed both the head of state, and the Speaker of the Parliament.


Moscow’s Dorogomilovsky court opened a trial on recognizing the fact of a coup d’etat in Ukraine in 2014. Ex-Ukrainian MP Volodymyr Oliynyk became the applicant party.
