Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, confirmed on Friday that more than 7,000 Syrians had been evacuated from eastern Aleppo.




“We have evacuated more than 7,000 civilians in 5 convoys departing from East Aleppo. Our work continues,” the minister tweeted.


Meanwhile, Turkish Presidential Spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin, wrote on Twitter that about 7,500 people from eastern Aleppo had arrived in Idlib.


The Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties is overseeing the issues of evacuation of civilians and armed groups members from Aleppo. The center is operating on instructions issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin in collaboration with the Syrian authorities.
