The Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow granted the petition for interrogation of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Thursday as a witness in the suit of the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Oliynyk on the coup d’etat.

According to him, society was polarized after the failure of the president to sign an association agreement with the European Union in November 2013, which was largely fueled financed from overseas media.

“A significant part was financed from the American funds… In Ukraine grants mainly were distributed through a number of US foundations, including George Soros. Using financial instruments, the West influenced the media controlled by oligarchs”, Oliynyk said.
