US Congressman Michael Turner demanded to find out urgently why anti-NATO banners appear in Montenegro.
The banners quote well-known in Serbia and Montenegro phrase “Won’t forgive for our children” referring to the NATO bombings in 1999, as well as a quote of the Montenegrin St. Peter of Cetinje who bequeathed his people not to retreat from the “patronage and hope of the member of Edinoverie and agnatic Russia”.
However, the American politician doesn’t believe that banners could be the work of locals.
“It doesn’t seem that locals did it. It may be illegally funded campaign to undermine the public’s views on the issue of joining the alliance!” he said.
