Three Turkish soldiers were killed and five injured in a Daesh jihadist group attack in the northeastern Syrian city of Al Bab, Turkish media reported Thursday.

The Daesh attack took place in the course of Turkey’s Euphrates Shield operation to clear Al Bab of Daesh terrorists, Turkey’s IHA news service said, citing military sources.

The injured troops have been taken to hospital in the southeastern Turkish city of Gaziantep, according to the outlet.
