Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump discussed during last week’s phone conversation a possible meeting after inauguration of the new US leader, but there are no concrete agreements, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“So far, there is no concrete understanding, agreements and estimates on this. Indeed, during the conversation they spoke about the plans to resume contacts and hold a meeting, but it was not mentioned at all when this will happen,” Peskov said.

In a phone conversation on Monday, the Russian leader congratulated Trump on his victory in the presidential elections and “noted readiness to build partner dialogue with the new administration on the principles of equality, mutual respect and non-interference into each other’s domestic affairs,” the Kremlin press service said.

Earlier in the day, Peskov told reporters that likely dates of Trump’s visit to Russia have not been discussed in Russia yet and all media reports on that score look like a canard.
