International military drills “Slavic Brotherhood 2016” are held on November 2-15 near Belgrade. Among participants in the military exercise are around 200 Russian servicemen, as well as Serbian and Belarusian forces.

“We see now that servicemen from three countries that speak different languages and wear different uniforms can successfully fulfill joint anti-terrorist tasks. Such international military cooperation is necessary for strengthening security in our country and in the world in general,” Velickovic said.

The first “Slavic Brotherhood” drills were held last year at the Raevsky training range near Novorossiysk. This year, the Serbian Defense Ministry was responsible for organizing the military exercise.
