Moscow has enough resources to monitor Washington’s potential hostile actions in the cybersphere, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

“The issue of cyber crimes remains in the news,” he said. “Unfortunately, deliberate, artificial politicization of this issue continues, including in terms of creating an atmosphere, in which even threats to our security are discussed. This does no credit to the US administration.”

“We have enough resources to monitor the potential unfriendly, hostile activities in the information space,” he said. “If such steps are taken, of course, that will be a new and a very serious blow for relations between Moscow and Washington. What kind of trust are we talking about? It is impossible as long as there is a risk of attacks in the cybersphere.”

“We are taking all necessary steps to make sure that the hardware and software used in Russia are not affected by the possible hostile manipulations on the part of the US,” Ryabkov added.
