Prince Michael of Kent, a member of the British royal family, said Wednesday he was optimistic that the UK’s trade ties with Russia would remain strong despite the recent difficulties.
“Despite our countries having faced a lot of difficulties in recent years, I’m full of optimism for the future of Russia and joint Russian-UK trade relations,” Prince Michael said at the opening of an economic forum in Moscow.
The Russia-British Chamber of Commerce is holding a Russia TALK Investment Forum to celebrate the Chamber’s centenary. Prince Michael said such events helped advance constructive cooperation between the two nations.
The forum was conceived as a platform for dialogue between business and government and has become one of the key international business events in Moscow.
