Lithuania has provided 20,000 euros ($21,760) in humanitarian aid to victims of the ongoing conflict in Eastern Ukraine, the country’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.


“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated EUR 20,000 in humanitarian aid to Ukraine … Humanitarian assistance is still relevant in eastern Ukraine. The United Nations reports that 3.1 million people are in need of emergency aid, particularly health services, food, clean water, sanitation and shelter,” the ministry statement said.


It also noted that since the beginning of the conflict, Lithuania has already allocated more than 1.1 million euros to Ukraine.
