According to preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Montenegro (99% of ballots processed) the opposition has the majority – 41 mandates. Djukanovic’s Democratic Party of Socialists took 35 seats and the rest got parties of national minorities.
Turning to the public, DF’s leader Andrija Mandic said he calls the whole opposition and minority parties for a dialogue.
“We will start with a clean slate, and the idea of the transition of power will again be the issue of our negotiations. It will bring together all parties which can hold fair elections, the first in Montenegro”, said Mandic.
According to him, in view of the large number of violations, including the organized arrival of people from abroad, the elections cannot be considered as fair and democratic.
