All the messengers and partially Facebook were shut down during the elections day in Montenegro.

“In fact, it’s a censorship. Milo Djukanovic’s regime went to unprecedented restrictions of rights and freedoms, including the freedom of speech. The basic principles and human rights had been violated. This is done with one purpose – to deprive citizens’ possibility of getting an honest reliable information on violations during the ballot and possible fraud”, reported to News Front a source in the Election Commission of Montenegro in Podgorica.

“The decision to block social networks was made after the messages from polling stations about numerous violations in favor of the ruling party”, the source added.
