Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday stated at a briefing with permanent members of Russia’s Security Council that there is no alternative to implementation of specific points of the Minsk Agreements to settle the crisis in Ukraine, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“The president held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council,” Peskov said.

“The situation in Syria was discussed; an exchange of views on the Ukrainian settlement also took place. It was underscored that there is no alternative to full implementation of specific points of the Minsk Agreements,” he said.
